I am a big fan of your work on risk communication and have been following it for years. I am currently researching best practice for communicating job layoffs, and wondered if you would apply your models to communicating bad news about jobs. For example, would this comment hold true in a job crisis?
Maria James, thank you for getting our story out there. Your article is wonderful and if it saves even one pet life it is worth it. There were only 5 ingredients in these treats the first being chicken breast.
This was the first and last time I had purchased those treats and believe me as stated in the article I have to live with the guilt of feeding these to my Bandit for the rest of my life.
I have always been careful about what I feed my dogs and I made a horrible mistake here but our government is also supposed to be there for Foodborne illness short answer questions essay to make sure that what we purchase on our store shelves is safe to feed our families and out pets who are part of our families.

I am so thankful that not every dog that was fed these treats became ill or died but that in itself does not prove that the treats are not dangerous for some pets.

The bottom line here is that the all mighty dollar becomes more important than our pets life. For all the pet owners out there who has suffered a loss or that has had to watch their pet fight for their life I am so sorry for your pain. I hope and pray that some day you can look back and remember your pet with fond memories and not those associated with the pain that could have been prevented.

My writing is aimed at people whose work requires them to communicate with others about risk. My goal is to help them do it better. But from time to time I receive an email or a Guestbook comment like this one, reminding me that people sometimes stumble on my website when they’re looking for help with a personal problem, not a professional one.
